Happy (late) Anniversary!!

Our 5th anniversary was officially on June 7th, but thanks to our breastmilk addicted daughter we were unable to go anywhere overnight to celebrate. Since Rylee has finally overcome her addiction, we headed off to VEGAS for a little vacation! We were originally planning on staying at the Meridan Hotel and Suites, but when we got there, they informed us that their hotel has been closed (weird huh?)! Anyways...they had kindly? reserved us a room at the Platinum Hotel. It was a really nice place located about 2 blocks away from "The Strip." We had a BLAST! It was so nice to just be able to do whatever we wanted. We went shopping, out to dinner, swimming, it was PERFECT! My personal favorite was Felinis. It's an Italian place in the Stratosphere Hotel where Ryan took me to eat one night. It was AMAZING food and the atmosphere was awesome too. They had murals painted on the walls to look like you were actually in Italy and the rooms were all candle-lit. It was so awesome!! We could've stayed at least one more night, but we needed to rescue Grandma & Grandpa Lloyd & Uncle Cameron from our little munchkins. (Thanks to them and Aunt Erika & Uncle Mark for watching our kids!)

This is the kitchen in our room. Way nicer than mine at home!
This is our room. It was so nice with a full kitchen and living room.

Ryan getting on the monorail. We bought day passes so we could travel up and down the strip easily.

Self-potrait! I think we're in the Paris Hotel.

This little walkway is in the Paris Hotel and it's designed to look like you are actually in Paris. The ceiling is even painted like a blue sky.

Ryan at the Conservatory in the Bellagio Hotel.

We're up on a bridge that connects the Bellagio to Bally's Hotel. It was the best view of all the lights.

Goofy Ryan eating Cocoa Krispies for breakfast.

In front of the MGM Grand.

New York, New York!!

Probably one of the coolest things ever-the M&M Store! You could get any color of M&Ms imaginable for the bargain? price of $11.99 per pound. (Ya we didn't buy any)

The Coke Store. I only wish Coke came in cans this big!!!

That was our trip in a nutshell!!!! I can't believe it's already been 5 years. It's been so crazy!!! We've had good times and not so good times, but we still make each other laugh and that's all that matters. Love ya Ry!!

Lagoon

Ryan's work gave us FREE (that's right I said free) tickets to Lagoon, so we decided to give it a try. We were a little nervous since Carter is such a "cautious" child, but he absolutely LOVED it. It was so fun to see him laugh and giggle on the rides. Rylee had fun watching too, maybe next year she'll be big enough to go with him. The only ride that made Carter a little nervous was the Dinosaur Egg Drop. It's a kids version of the Rocket (the one that's kind of like a free-falling outdoor elevator).
Carter on the Merry-go-Round.

Rylee on the Merry-go-Round

The Bumper Cars! Notice how he is just sitting there...he just watched the other kids run into each other and laughed at them. It was pretty funny. The guy running the ride was trying to tell him to turn the wheel, but he just wanted to watch!

The car ride was BY FAR his very fav. He would tell me he was going to drive to work and that he'd see me later.

BEAR LAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We went to Bear Lake AGAIN! Not only because we love it so much but because it's a cheap little vacation. Our friends Mike & Lori and their little boy Sean were supposed to come with us this time, but they ended up not being able to so we headed up there to spend time with both sides of the family. We stayed at Ryan's mom and dad's cabin. Ryan helped his dad build a railing while I...well I watched (I know I'm lazy!). Then my Winegar grandparents were having our annual family retreat at their cabin which is only one hill over from the Lloyds'. My grandparents always go all out and have fun games, activities, and lots of food. We went with them to the beach one day and got to ride on a boat for a little while. Ryan wake-boarded again and did awesome! We had such a great time especially since we don't see the Winegar side very often!! Here are some pictures hope you enjoy...
Carter and MY cousin Averee trying on helmets! Averee is only 6 months older than Carter.

My aunt Ashlee pitching to my cousin Bridger (I think it's Bridger I can't tell for sure from behind) in a game of beach baseball. My grandma brought kiddie pools and filled them with water to be the bases. I told you she does fun stuff :)!

Carter "dribing" (in his words) the Rhino.

We had a talent show and this was Averee's talent. Carter attempted to imitate her, but he just put his head on the ground, he couldn't quite get the splits part.

My mom, dad, and McKenzie told jokes with puppets for their talent. My dad made up the jokes I think. It was pretty funny.

Carter riding the 4-wheeler with Grandma Kim and Grandpa Danny (my mom and dad)!

Ryan's mom staining the railing that Ryan built with his dad.

Carter's ready to go to the beach!

Best looking guy around!

Carter "painting" the deck. A.K.A keeping Carter from climbing the rocks of death by giving him a bucket of water and a paint brush and telling him to help grandma paint!

Carter with grandma Kim at the beach. HE LOVES my mom and dad so much and talks about them every day.

Big Time Bummer!!!

After many head "bonks," Carter has finally split his head open. Since he could crawl he has hit his head on anything even remotely in his way. This time it was the corner of our entertainment center and the result was 7 staples in the back of his head. He was very brave. Ryan went in with him and he said Carter was trying so hard not to cry. He had big tears rolling down his face but he didn't make a sound. He was such a big boy!!!

Returning to the scene of the crime!

Holding up the cars the doctor's office gave him for being so brave!!

He decided on green because Buzz Lightyear wears green.

All 7 staples. I couldn't get close enough and get him to hold still enough to get a clear picture!

Silly Kids!

So far we've had a very eventful summer! June started off with Ry's birthday quickly followed by our 5th Anniversary!! Then, sadly Ryan's sweet grandpa Lloyd passed away on June 29th. It was a bittersweet feeling because he was such a sweet man and a wonderful grandpa and great grandpa but he has had health problems for so long. We will miss him! The same week as grandpa's funeral we had the Applonie Family Getaway to Bear Lake which is always fun. Jenni and her kids were here and Carter LOVED playing with Chase! Ryan's mom has better pictures than we do on her blog (I have a link to it on this page). We have also been doing some remodeling (and by we I mean Ryan has been doing some remodeling)! We put in new flooring, new lighting, and painted. Next we have the backsplash and when that's done I'll post some pictures. Well that's all you ever needed to know about us! Have a great summer!!

Rylee has become more and more active everyday. We have child locks on our cupboards, but for some reason the lock on this one doesn't work!

She LOVES opening drawers and climbing in them!

We're not sure what Carter is doing here, Ryan found him this way after he put his jammies on!

Any of you who have ever been around Rylee know that she has gone from being a very sociable, enjoyable baby to being a DRAMA QUEEN. She only smiles on her terms, but she is VERY good at giving dirtly looks like this one!

You may not be able to tell by this picture, but Carter really does love going to Bear Lake. This trip he got to ride on a boat. He loved it until Uncle Mark fell off the tube and then he got scared. He also didn't like it when Ryan would fall while we was wake boarding. He is a very cautious, sweet little boy who worries when people could be hurt!

Stolen Wedding Pictures

Well, Casey and Nichole posted pictures of their wedding on their blog and I loved them so much, I stole them off their blog and posted them on mine too! :) Hopefully they won't care!

I absolutely LOVE this one of all of their neices and nephews (Carter and Rylee are the only ones from Casey's side of the family until little Olivia comes in August). This picture is even funnier if you were there to witness the death and destruction that occured to get all of these little ones within view of the camera.

I love this one too. They are such a cute couple!! Her flowers are amazing too!
I think this picture of Nichole and her brothers is so cute! She is the fourth child which puts her smack dab in the middle of 6 boys!

This is all of Nichole's family.

This is all of Casey's family (except Josh)! We'll have to get another one taken soon since Josh isn't there and soon Olivia and Allen will join the family!

Casey's Wedding!

My younger brother Casey married Nichole Gardner on May 31st in the St. George Temple. They are so dang cute! Unfortunately, we FORGOT our camera at the reception BIG TIME BUMMER so here are a few pictures but none of the actual reception. T.J. and Hanna have a few on their blog (I have a link to it on the bottom of this page). Her colors were apple green, black, and pink. She looked so pretty (though you will not see any pictures of her in her dress here for some odd reason??) and the reception was beautiful! I also have a link to their blog and they might post pictures soon so keep checking if you're interested!

Carter looking mighty handsome outside the temple.

Rylee being cute outside of the temple.

My youngest brother Josh (yes he is taller than all 3 of his older siblings and better looking too)!

Grandma Kim (my mom) with Rylee!

The two look-a-likes! (I'm told on a regular basis that Rylee has none of my physical characteristics, unfortunately she has inherited my girly personality. Can you say "drama queen?")

Courtney (my younger sister) and her fiancee (sp?) Allen Lloyd (no apparent relation to my husband, but if you ask Allen and Ryan they will tell you that only truely manly men are "Lloyds"). Courtney and Allen are getting married in the St. George Temple on September 6th.

The best looking table at the wedding luncheon! From left to right, Courtney, Allen, McKenzie (my youngest sister), T.J., Hanna, and Ryan

Uncle Casey sharing his dessert with Rylee at the luncheon (because of his hyper-active typical 2 year old behavior, we uninvited Carter to the luncheon!)
